Tuscarora Intermediate Unit is a regional educational service agency. Staff, comprised of over 300 employees, lend their talents to the public and nonpublic schools in the counties of Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata and Mifflin.

Familiar with identifying students who may benefit from such things as adaptive equipment, communication devices and transport modalities, this year, the IU staff decided to take their participation one step farther. They will be partnering with Variety, the Children’s Charity to make the ownership of these devices a reality.

Over the course of the next several months, staff will be raising funds in order to purchase a bike, an ipad and a stroller. The goal is to present these items to three children during the IU’s annual unified in-service day.

Look for future issues to provide updates on this very worthwhile cause.
