What does a Peer Supporter do?
A Peer Supporter listens and supports families to build their own networks. They share their journeys by communicating in ways that work best for the family they are matched with including phone, text, email, etc.
How can you help?
As a Peer Supporter, you get to decide if the time is right for you to support another family each and every time you are contacted. You should respect confidentiality with every interaction. We have a free online training for our Peer Supporters and offer other opportunities throughout the year for additional training.
What are the benefits of being a Peer Supporter?
You will get the satisfaction of being part of another family's support system and the chance to share your experiences, joys, and knowledge. You also have a lifelong connection to the P2P of PA network with ongoing support on your Peer Supporter journey.
